Thabo Bopape is a South African actor, voice artist and television/film industry allrounder who has appeared in numerous television series, feature films, commercials, and stage shows.
Thabo began his acting career in film and television in 2001. He has since acted in numerous television series including Generations, Soul City, Backstage, Villa Rosa, Jozi Streets, Zero Tolerance, Jacob's Cross, Jozi-H, Justice for All, Isidingo, Sokhulu & Partners, Scandal!, Home Affairs, Rhythm City, Binnelanders, Hard Copy and Wild at Heart. In 2015 he joined the cast of the eKasi+ police drama series Traffic! as a series regular for Season 2, playing the role of Mzwakhe.
He has also worked as a presenter, having presented for Mindset Network's Activate Channel, Vuk'uzenzele (an entrepreneurial business television program on how to start your own business), and Living Land (a magazine program focusing on agricultural land redistribution and emerging farmers). He has appeared in corporate videos, commercials and in feature films, including Coup! (a 2006 TV movie), Mr. Bones, Catch A Fire, Kennedy's Brain and Auftrag in Afrika, a German telemovie.
Thabo has appeared in dozens of television commercials for clients including Eskom, Jet, Castle Millions Game Show, Vanish, All Life Insurance and Vanish Power O2. He has also worked on corporate productions and videos for clients including FNB, Anglo Gold, Phumelela, Standard Bank, Eskom, EDCON and Coca-Cola.
From 2001 to 2004 he worked in the staging of large-scale public performances assisting in the coordinating of a series of carnivals, which culminated in the 2004 Johannesburg New Year's Carnival. The event has since then become an annual New Year's Eve event for the City of Johannesburg.
Since relocating to Cape Town in 2010, he has worked as an all-around fixer, coordinator, producer, content developer and sponsorships relations manager and developer under his Nu-Director banner.
