Stefania Monaco is an Italian-born actress, voice artist, and theatre-maker based in Cape Town, with over two decades of experience across stage, screen, and audio performance. Trained at the prestigious Filodrammatici Academy in Milan, she has further developed her craft through international workshops with leading practitioners from institutions including GITIS Moscow and the Royal Shakespeare Company.
Stefania has built an extensive and diverse theatre career, performing in classical and contemporary works across Italy and Europe, and more recently in South Africa. Her stage credits include productions such as One Man Two Guvnors at the Fugard Theatre in Cape Town, as well as numerous performances at renowned venues including Teatro Filodrammatici, Teatro Franco Parenti, and San Babila Theatre in Milan.
Her screen work spans film and television, with roles in productions directed by acclaimed filmmakers such as Paolo Virzì and Marco Tullio Giordana. Alongside her on-screen presence, Stefania has maintained a prolific voice career since 2007, lending her voice to commercials, documentaries, audiobooks, radio dramas, and multimedia projects. She has also worked as a radio host for RTL 102.5.
An award-winning performer, Stefania has received multiple accolades, including Best Actress at the Novara Film Festival and international recognition for documentary work.
