Julie Hartley began her acting career at the age of 16 in the musical, Singin’ in the Rain.  She continued to build an enviable track record of lead roles in musical theatre, such as Guinevere in Camelot, Sandy in Grease, Gigi in Gigi and Barbara Winters in Summer Holiday.

Julie has a long list of movies to her credit, Lipstiek Dipstiek being one most widely known to South Africans.  She performed on stage in the farce, Noises Off and in the two-hander, Same Time Next Year.

As a voice artist, Julie has enjoyed a varied career, probably best known as the voice for Fruit and Veg City (now Food Lover’s Market). Woolworths, Yardley, American Swiss, Ackermans, PEP, Clicks are a few retail examples.  She also provides the voice for a variety of marketing, corporate and educational videos.

Julie works remotely from her home studio on her farm Glee in Klein Brak River.
