After working at Ackermans, Shoprite and even a call centre, Lesley made her start at a campus radio station, MFM 92.6. After a foray in retail radio for Pep Stores - Feelgood FM, producing CapeTalk and Traffic at Heart FM and Smile 90.4 FM, she now keeps road users informed on OFM, the sound of your life! For her the best thing about radio is that it lets you engage with people from all walks of life.
When she’s not behind the mic, Lesley loves spending time with her fur baby, a Boston Terrier named, ‘Tuesday’, as well as hiking, catching up on series, and watching YouTube tutorials.
While she would probably roll her eyes at this description, there is definitely truth in the adage that ‘dynamite comes in small packages’. Lesley, the second eldest of four sisters, definitely has the gift of the gab and will quickly win hearts with her absolute honesty and sass.
Her favourite quote? “Work in silence; let your success be your noise.” And, it is this ‘noise’ that will be resonating throughout the airwaves for years to come.
